I am already planning projects for next year and I want to come up with a creative way to store my firewood outside. My first thought is to build a small version of an Adirondack shelter. I am looking for pictures of how others are storing wood.
Thanks and looking forward to some pictures.

Most of the year we have low humidity. Split wood dries very nicely. A tarp is hung over the open face during monsoon season (July, Aug., early Sept.) and then over winter to keep snow off.

I don't actually have any plans for your wood storage but can give some suggestions. Do not store wood under the cabin, or against your wooden structure. Depending on the seasoning of your wood would probably dictate the type of structure that you erected. Meaning that if your wood is dry then a partially enclosed (sides and back)woodshed would suffice. But if you are storing green wood then you need adequate ventilation to dry it out. Basicly a roof with sufficent overhangs to keep rain from the wood but allow circulation. My storage is done relatively cheap. I utilize pallets as the floor and ends. I drive metal "t" post (2 per end) which will allow pallets to be sliped over the post which create the ends. The top is just 2X material resting on the ends from one end to the other and used roofing tin to create the roof. I have also stacked the wood on pallets (ricked) and use shrink warp to weatherproof it. I am sure there are elaborate plans available but depending on the amount of wood you store and how fast you go through it would be a deciding factor.

I like that very much. It gives me a plan of attack.
That is one way with a heavy ridgebeam and header combination and common rafters. Another approach is to use a couple of braced bents and purlins.
Although the bent profile would be different in yours this shows that basic arrangement. It's a little easier in the high work and provides purlins ready to screw tin to

Mine up at the house is some chopped down big box racking with a shed roof, heavy guage rod grid on the backside for air, solid ends to hide the racking and an open front... and never big enough ;D Down at the shop it's a heap with some tin balanced on top.
Like the other guy said we just use pallets and some old roofing to cover it up. Works great and can be moved if you get sick of where it is. This year we have about 10cord stacked up this way and should be nice and warm all winter d*
I have been searching Google images and have found the closest thing to what I want to build.

I am planning to make it 10' long and 4 feet deep. I also want to make the walls out of 4" pine install horizontally and skipping every other one to give plenty of ventilation.
Any thoughts?
Sounds like a great idea.
I found a plan close to what I want to build.

The plan had a scale of 1:10, I think it was for a train set?
My plan is to make the base of mine 4' x 8'. I cut down the plan side to Make it 4' deep.

Today I made one of the sides. I guess I will have to take it a part and store it for the winter. Come on spring.

I went to camp this past weekend and put together my wood storage rack.

I had strapping left over from my ceiling project and I used it on this. All I have left is to shingle the roof. Now I have to get going on filling it up.

Very nice
