I was reading a book about, what else but cabin design, and came across the Leopold bench. I have been considering making adirondack chairs to put around my fire ring, but these seem much easier and should hold up to the outdoors. I am impressed with how sturdy this bench is.

This is the plan I used. There are plenty of other plans on the internet.

By the way good looking bench
Years late, looking at the old CP Leopold bench plans posts I noticed that someone asked for revised Leopold Bench plans.

Aldo Leopold's son Starker was one of my forestry school professors, but I don't recall him ever talking about his father's bench design ;D
