Title: For the non color blind
Post by: peternap on August 28, 2012, 10:55:02 AM
I don't have a proper color grading monitor and at 3,000.00 Im not likely to buy one in the near future..

I was doing sunsets last evening for a client. He liked them and they look goo to me, but I'm curious about others opinions.

This is a real short clip and bear in mind that You Tube doesn't give the best results.
Opinions?

I thought it looked good, but I am certainly no authority on this. What was traveling from left to right? Boat, swimmer?

Seems satisfactory.  Maybe, perhaps a tad more saturation? But then I'd have to compare.   :-\ :-\

Thanks guys!

This little clip is a few seconds ou of about an hour and I was using three different cameras, 3 GH2's each with different hacks and the new Panasonic AC160.

All shot in what should have been a flat profile for later grading.

On my monitor it looks flat, on my HDTV it almost glows. ???

Now you see the basis of my blind photographer jokes. Autofocus is great. The rest is a nightmare.
This is a timelapse I did at the same time I was doing videos and is ungraded.
