gents just a heads up to a possible problem while your trailering at the build site
we just got back to Bogota after three glorious weeks in the mountains at our plot.
During this trip we moved the trailer - built a deck and I think lined up the builder for the foundation -if not all of the dry in.

So during the winter I added a 12 ft length of plumbing pipe to the genny exhaust that exits the camper beneath the main bedroom
just in case
During the move we took it off and did'nt replace it- well a few nights later daughter was in bed when the bedroom Carbon Monoxide detector went off - then shortly later the one the camper came with in the living room.
We turned off the heat and generator opened all the doors and aired it out. before we hit the hay
Just a heads up to checking your Carbon monoxide detector batteries and where your exhaust is pointing !
I guess the wind was swirling arround beneath the camper as we put it close to the wood pile
We re-added the extension and piped it through the wood pile behind the camper so it exits on the otherside
Without checking the batteries on our arrival all three of us could have been dead in a bag.

It's always a good idea to actually check the batteries... my CO monitor has a battery charge level indicator. Some folks sometimes depend on the low battery alarm that most units also have. Not a good idea if the absence has been a prolonged one. The batteries could have died to the point of not having enough power left to even make the low battery alarm work.
Curious, how many ppm did it reach (if there is a display)?
I read a artical in the newpaper about two people dying from carbon monoxide from their generator. They had parked there RV in a depression. Who would have thought?
