I lean toward Newt.....but satan has a better chance
Sparks....your canidae......conservative?
Any one of them can have my vote!! Even the dog.
Gary,
I was a lifelong democrat until about six years ago.......
And then something pryed my eyes open a bit wider........
I found Country Plans......
Such is life.........and getting older......and realizing the errors of my ways.

ps......Newt clobbered our county committee for around 30k for a two hour appearance.....and dinner.
Don't like who is in there. Do not care much for any of the (Rs) running.
I am sort of thinking the same people that wanted Obama also want Romney. I think they have stacked the deck as such. For those behind the curtain, they did not take a chance this go around win - win no matter what.
Since the question was 'who I thought' would clinch it I answered Romney (Obomney) but that doesn't mean he is or was my choice.
Frankly, Obama scares the batcrap outta me but then Romney and Gingrich are nothing more then big government progressives masquerading like something else (and fooling lots of people). Santorum doesn't have a chance in my humble opinion and I don't think he's too different from the Neocons leaving Ron Paul who frankly I agree with far far more then all the rest but whom I doubt has any hope of actually winning a primary, much less a general election.
Frankly, I think the whole mess is rigged and since the 17th Amendment we don't really have the Republic that was created so long ago....and with Van Buren's two party's of the same politicians to ensure nothing changes....well, we're screwed.
That's my jaded view! LOL

Oops! I voted for Ron Paul thinking it was a poll about who I want. I think Romney will actually win, cause he is the PTB choice.
Yeah, I almost poked my fave too, but entered Romney cause that's who's gonna be 'picked'.
Love the comments here.....especially OJ's.
My leaning toward Newt is basically because I think he could get something done (been around awhile), but Santorum is a bit refreshing, and Ron Paul will always be a Wally Cox/Ralph Nader mix, skewing the vote.
But, yeah, these are our choices?
Alas, as misstated in a somewhat famous older movie line..... we'll never learn, we'll be eunuchs all our lives.
sparks, my reference toward 'my dog' (canidae family) was my fractured play on words... alas, jokes that don't take will never be jokes, just humorless word eunuchs all their lives.......
It's Paddy's day, and I'll need a strong refreshment by late afternoon, but the amateurs are out, so I think I'm going to watch an old movie instead .... A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM sounds entertaining............
My how things change....40 years ago I'd have been kissing the blarney sidewalk by now
Keep a fire, gents
I don't like most of them, but that's only because I don't know anything about your dog.
I have a major stumbling block with the republican dudes, although I identify with some, maybe many, republican principles. I'm not a big Democrat fan. Mostly I'm Libertarian. Every time I hear a politician say something about how pro-life, how anti-abortion they are, I get an uncomfortable mental picture of bearded Taliban Imans. That's extreme, I know. But I see both Republican Politicians and Taliban Imans, men with strong religious views, telling "their people" that they know what is best for "their country" and "their women" and that "their government" knows what is best for "their women".
Sorry if I come off as an extreme nutcase on this.
I voted for the dog even though I do not know his position on this. It is a guy dog?
Ron Paul has already won it
you can't kill ideas that have found their moment in history
Wait... is the question : who is going to clinch it? or... who do I want to clinch it?
I'm guessing Romney, but out of the feeble group I prefer Santorum.
I am legally changing my name to "None Of The-Above"....Thus having a very good chance of winning the election....My platform is changing the Law of Gravity. I highly suspect I would caputre most of the women vote and some of the men!
Romney was "chosen" a long time ago, IMHO. We're sure being treated to a nice soap opera, or should I say Kabuki theater? side show primary though.

Sparks: Has there been a concerted effort to portray your dog as "unelectable?"
Carla_M: You're not a nutcase.
Stinkerbell: Changing the Law of Gravity is significantly less of an undertaking than what any of the "electable" politicians promise, so why not?
rick91351: I'm clicking my heels three times and saying, "There's no place like home..."
My vote is for Stinkerbell!
Bruce
I agree. Two for Stinkerbell!
I'll change my vote to Stink if the dog agrees to VP or Sec of State.
YES! And the same day I am sworn in as your POTUS, EVERY American will receive a FREE Air Guitar.
6 of one - Half dozen of another, including the current leader, I just try and vote for the one who will screw me the least.
