Okay, who automatically thought Ian Anderson or Jethro Tull?
Well for 2012 they are making a Thick As A Brick Tour, starting in the UK in spring and ending in the USA in the fall!! First time since '72 they will perform the entire thing live. No US dates or locations as yet. I'd like to do this if they come close enough (to ABQ) I think.

Always loved Jethro Tull, and Ian Anderson is a fascinating individual. Did you ever see the "Fish, Sheep 'n' Rock 'n' Roll?" Here's part I of 8:

Ian Anderson is good. Lucia Micarelli is Awsome. ;D
waggin, no I never saw the Fish, Sheep & Rock and Roll film before. Watched it all, downloaded the segments and made them into a one piece file on a DVD. Thanks. :)
Maybe they will visit Albuquerque. They were at Popejoy last time if I remember.
I saw them on the original TAAB tour in 1972 at the old Chicago Amphitheatre.
Considering I was blasted out of my gourd, I remember it quite well. Thanks for the heads up Mtn Don. Hope they play Chicago and ABQ.

Another musician with an interesting "other life" is Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. I find it fascinating how people are wildly successful in an artistic endeavor such as music can also pursue (and have an interest in) a completely different vocation. In both cases, it doesn't seem that they're doing it for the money, it's the love of what they're doing.

He also did an interesting series on Discovery on aviation history.

I saw on the news that the Beach Boys were back together one more time (Those left anyway) and were making a tour this year. I checked and sure enough, they were going to be in Virginia this summer so I ordered tickets. Good thing I didn't wait. They had only been on sale a day and were almost sold out....
I just got my Beach Boys Concert Wardrobe! ;D
