Don asked where I was earlier. Since the Hurricane is starting to show, I thought I'd show where we are (The Farm) ad where Jane and I'll be tomorrow to film the thing.
Another couple of hours and I'll start getting rain.

And?......
Peternap this is Ground Control.....do you read?
Just got internet back. See my post on the East Coast.
It was great. Chest deep in storm surge and on top of 100 foot bridges in hurricane winds, then a hundred miles back just ahead of the storm followed with 24 hours straight of videoing storm damage and cleanup.
Tomorrow, off to Tangier where some of the locals have decided I'm as crazy as they are and are going to talk about the storm there. It's just another rainy day to them.
If any of you desert people want to see what a Hurricane looks like as it comes in...and yeah, I had a flotation vest under my rainsuit and did fall in once. :-\

[scared] Peter, you scare me! You didn't fall into that rushing river, did you???
That's a lot of water and wind..
Here where the fires ravaged the terrain every rain that lasts for more than a minute results in huge troubles with water rushing down the arroyos and canyons. An apple orchard that survived the fire with a minimal loss of trees has been pretty much wiped out by canyon water flooding. Too bad, it goes back many years.
You are either a Pecan or a Pea....Not sure which one but I am sure you are one. ;)
