I was putting a rough drawing together to frame my cabin and I have to put in a 97 1/4" x 64 3/4" window (love those construction auctions).
The way I have the ledger board inset, it is about 7 feet and almost 6 inches off the ground.
Can the header for the window and the ledger board be the same. Can I integrate them to work as one? Just curious. I was going to use 10 foot 2 x 6's to frame the first floor and have a lower knee wall.
I was going to go with 12 foot 2 x 6's to frame (higher ceiling and higher knee wall) , but my cabin width is only 18 feet and I am worried that the 12 foot walls would look out of proportion? Does anyone think it would?
That is what I did. I don't know if it is right? I am curious to hear others answers.

No reason a ledger can't turn into a header :D. A ledger normally only spans between studs while a header spans a opening of multiple studs. Size the header to take the floor loads and you will be fine.
Micky has brought the studs down to bear on the header and nailed them to the floor joists. That's fine too. Note: you will probably want to install fire blocking at the floor line before you close that wall up. This is so a possible fire in the floor doesn't have a chimney effect pulling it into the wall cavity.
