Title: Coyote and Deer
Post by: MountainDon on August 08, 2011, 01:18:22 AM
We've not seen a coyote in the area around our cabin. We have seen evidence of their presence in the form of their scat and their kills. But never actually seen one or captured one on a game camera. Not till 08/04 9:43 AM.   This guy/gal is favoring its right hind leg and is off camera in a hurry. Odd that a few seconds later a deer bounds along in the same general direction.

Is that coyote "marking" your salt lick?

Not very neighborly!

In New Mexico the deer have gone carnivorous.  Seems they've picked up really quickly on the whole "target the weak and injured" prey concept.  Wonder if you'll soon find deer beans with coyote fur in them?   ???
