Title: Stove -grill translation needed ...8-)
Post by: UK4X4 on July 04, 2011, 06:36:57 PM

What I'm looking for is a open fire to use indoors- sort of like a large fire bowl with a hood and stove pipe exiting the shack.

Ie I'm going to build a BBQ type shack and want a wood fire - that I can grill on too in the winter with the walls closed in

I can pipe in fresh air to the bottom exhaust from the top but can't quite find what I'm looking for even with google

Sunset Books "Vacation Cabins".   1970'ish. They have your ticket.  Indoor fire pit with custom copper hood.

I'll dig it up.  It's copyrighted so I can't post it here, but I can get you the info and I bet it will be on google docs.

Close to this type of thing but would need some space in front to rake some coals onto and put a grillover

Certainly not into gassing myself !
