Good article with some good pics.

Loosely related, our clients found a tree last week that caused a round of emails with a forester friend. These are some shots of elm leaf sack galls and the aphids that cause them. This is a slippery, or red, elm.

this is a shot of aphids inside the sacks.

We looked again this week and most of the aphids have left the sacks which are shrivelling and turning brown.
