Title: OK verdict
Post by: OkieJohn2 on May 27, 2011, 12:33:54 PM
Well, the jury finally came in concerning this much publicized case:

Of course this just reinforces the advice given in Oklahoma Hand gun classes, primarily, shoot once, and make it a final shot.

The verdict certainly says; Don't go back for seconds!

Expecting people be rational in such a situation is asking a bit much. But, I can understand the verdict. The last 5 shots where fired out of anger. He'll probly be out in 7 years.

 ???

He was certainly angry at someone---hard to believe it was an unconscious unarmed kid. Not justifying the kid or trying to hang the guy for the first shot, but to go back almost a minute later, get another gun and come back and gut shoot an unconscious person five times?  I do think we can expect a little more rational decision making then that.

Possibly but it has eliminated the possibility that the robber will continue his life of crime and cost the taxpayers more money.  Possibly Muslim law would have been better.  They would have cut off his hand.  At least he would still be alive and remember his crime every time he reached for a roll of toilet paper.

When they cut off the thief's hand, do they first determine if
he is right or left handed, and cut off the dominant hand?
