Title: Asphalt Window Flashing
Post by: astidham on April 18, 2011, 11:52:48 PM
Has anyone used asphalt window flashing for other flashing needs?
I was thinking about using it to flash from under my log siding bridging over my bump-out.
I have capped the top of the bumpout at the top of the blue felt with a 2x6(not shown)
Thought i would lay the asphalt flashing in the seam from the house to the 2x6.
Any thoughts?

I guess you are referring to "grace" or similar product like ice guard.  I think it might work although it does not like a sharp 90 deg turn.  IMO metal broke to the corrrect angle would probably suit your need better.
