Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of the Challenger disaster. Seems like it was only a short time ago. I had spent the day doing some pole line work and when I got back to the motel later that day was the first I heard about it. It was devastating and horrific news. Do you remember what you were doing that day?

btw.....it was 34 years ago today that astronauts Grissom, White, and Chaffee lost their lives in the early Apollo program.

I was working in the garage at home when a neighbor came over and said to turn on the TV.
Unfortunately I don't remember for sure... just know that I would have been somewhere installing roll bars and sloper blades on Caterpillar tractors.... somewhere between San Diego and the Bay area or Sacramento or maybe even the high desert.... every day of the week at that time... probably about 80 hours per week.
Working on a set of end tables in a furniture shop that morning. Work stopped as everyone went to the breakroom or their cars to listen to the radio.
The Appollo 1 fire was 44 years ago, I had to google the date, that seemed too close together Sparks. I didn't realize the rocket was used for the unmanned lunar landing test.

It's kinda weird, but I'm having a really hard time recalling.. Almost like that point in time was erased from my memory.. ???
...Nonetheless, I still pray for their souls and mourn their loss with the rest of you.
