Great link; the new tax to come out of the federal government will be the O2 tax. If you breathe, then you will be assessed a fee for the cubic feet your consume each year.  [rofl2]

Interesting read, but as usual facts in a complete vacuum.

The second one on the list, "the jock tax", is actually for all businesses that generate income in a state.  Almost every state in the union has some form of it.  They even noted that it is in 40 states.  It makes more sense when you put it as "you make money here, you pay income taxes here". 

Also the "blueberry tax" is similar to the one the USDA charges.  These taxes are all over the place on almost all food products.   They go towards a central marketing and advertising group.  Idaho potatoes, Maine blueberries, Georgia Peaches etc...
