well it's almost done. here is a link to my recently completed 20x36 michigan cabin. it been three long summers, and all my vacation time but for the most part it's done. next summer i will complete the loft with the arke karina modular staircase kit. here is a link to some pics https://s1095.photobucket.com/albums/i472/zack_stan/cottage/ (https://s1095.photobucket.com/albums/i472/zack_stan/cottage/)
Lovely! I'm sure you've been enjoying it :) Nice views!
Wow well done :)
Wow very nice! Looks like time well spent!
I like the bumpouts, they add a pleasing visual breakup of the lines.
thank you all. the bump outs were added for a little more space. the two bedrooms are in the back of the cabin, the smaller bump-out are the two bedroom closet. the larger bump-out is for the bathroom. the cabin is a little over 768 sq feet, which is the smallest the county would allow. for a small cabin it feels large, it has 2 bedrooms (10x12) a large bathroom (about 6x8) first floor ult closet, and a larger 20x18 great room. the cabin is all electric. 220 baseboard heat, with a vermont casting intrepid wood stove. it was built with a tight budget, final cost under 25,000. 47,000 with the land. the only contractors hired were for the well, drain field, roof and drywall. next summer a 10x18 loft will be added. by the way the roof is built from trusses. older pic are posted here https://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii309/larrystan/cottage/ (https://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii309/larrystan/cottage/)
