Title: Nailing Victoria upper floor decking
Post by: CREATIVE1 on July 22, 2009, 02:36:03 PM
I've been trying to locate a floor nailer for our tongue and groove 2 x 6 decking.  We're renting, so we only need it for 2 or 3 days.  The biggest I've found shoots 2 inch nails, and you have to strike it with a hammer for each nail.

What other options do I have?

3" finishing nailer if they make it or deck screws.  I went with deck screws. Not real sure what a clipped head frame nailer in 3" would do never tried. The regular floor nailer like you said is designed for 3/4" hardwood.  When you try to use it with 1-1/2" you only get about 1/2" of nail and it is not positioned right on the tounge.
