WASHINGTON -- The House voted once again Tuesday to allow Native Hawaiians to form their own government and interact with the United States as a sovereign people.

It represented the third time in a decade that a Native Hawaiian sovereignty bill has advanced in Congress. Supporters in Hawaii believe its chances have never been better with native son President Barack Obama backing it
