While working on some framing on the upper section of my gable end wall I noticed it had quite a bit of flex in it. I could easily shake it several inches one way or the other.
Not surprising in retrospect, being there is nothing restricting its movement in that direction. Just wondering if that would be a concern, especially with a stucco exterior. Any way, other than an exterior porch, to stiffen that up?
I assume the other end will be quite a bit stiffer with the loft bracing it up. The wall in question is in the open cathedral ceiling area.
