Can I get some ideas on how I can protect my foundation from frost short of back-filling?
Here are a few shots of the foundation.

I am starting to sweat bullets about getting this thing capped and backfilled before winter. Thanks for any ideas!

rigid foam insulation and pitch should do it.

Can you please expand your idea? ???

Generally the faster you get it backfilled the better off you will be.
Was yours engineered to where it needs support from the floor framing?
Home is where you make it

"engineered" ??? ??? d* Was not really engineered but I do want to get the slab poured and the roof/floor framed and spanned with TGIs pror to backfill. These expences are what is causing the delay.

Would kit make sense to do the main floor, TGI's using Advantex for the decking if it's available where you are? And do the concrete floor later?       I have no experience, but that's what popped into my mind.

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

What about using hay bales? They could be stacked up against the foundation 2 - 3 deep and covered with plastic. They may even generate heat as they decompose. ??? ???

Thoughts? :)
