How Hot Is It (in the SW)??

Well, you know it is really hot when the concrete sidewalks around the neighborhood have buckled here and there making little teepees where the slabs didn't have an expansion joist. I guess that also shows the concrete contractor messed up. There are 4 such teepees or unplanned ramps within walking distance of home.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
