Title: Wrong Screws
Post by: pioneergal on December 18, 2005, 05:00:02 PM
We sent DD to pick up the screws for the subfloor.

DH opened the box to get a few out for another project ......... later I came along and realized that they are 2" and not 2 1/2".

Are these 2" screws too short for the 3/4 plywood or do I need to see if they can be returned  for the 2 1/2" screw?

Don't worry, they're fine.

More than twice the depth of the 3/4" in any case

Thanks Bart and Amanda!

DH said they should be okay..................

I'm just a worry wart.........worry when there's nothing to worry about.

All of the sources stated a 2 1/2 " - 3"........so see I had to worry about it.

Just want to build it right!

God Bless and have a Merry Christmas
