Post by: John Raabe on September 01, 2009, 05:34:16 PM
An easy to build option to cardboard tubes for poured concrete piers.

UPDATE to old thread - The manufacturer continues to develop interesting options for concrete forms.

Interesting product, but I'm not so sure it's "greener" than cardboard tubes.

Anyway, I would have a couple of questions for them besides cost.

How would one position re-bar in the tube?

How would one seal the joints of the left over tube material under a slab?

They also didn't show how to vibrate the air voids out during the pour.

I like it!

Would it be possible to use this in the bush of Alaska?  Do you need to have a hose pumping in the concrete?
