"Think " ya went all out.

Here's one of our old standbys , trivets,,

The Maple one we've been using for a few years , the others are Teak , and Mahogany.

Rip strips on the table saw , pin nail together , a guy can make a bunch in one hour. And use all scrap wood  :)

They look nice , and really get used a lot by everyone we've gifted to, at least we've never got one back as a  RE gift ;D

The wood I got at the dump awhile back ....

So whats your quick gift that makes um think ya care  ::) ;D
When in doubt , build it stout with something you know about .

Fleece hats and neck gaiters.  Pictures to follow.

Before I saw the pictures I thought that they were going to be one piece with routed lines on the top and bottom (in different directions--simple but I'm not sure I'm making sense).  But those are lighter, work just as well, don't depend on the size of one hunk of wood for the ultimate size.

Nice work PEG. Clever, quick and appreciated. Just what you want in a gift!
None of us are as smart as all of us.

Sassy

I coulda used those awhile back - was always looking for "trivets" - found some various metal ones at 2nd hand stores...
