That's really cool!

In CT there is a place called Gillette's Castle, which was build by William Gillette (Famous portrayer of Sherlock Holmes) in the 1920's, I believe. He was very afraid of lightning, and almost everything in the stone mansion is wood, including door latches and even light switches. I believe every door latch in the house is different, and feature some complicated mechanisms, at least for wood.

More ideas for the new house...... d*

Cool -thx, Don.

I have been using a wooden front door latch on my cabin for about 8 years.  Nice to see alternative designs.

A stick propped against a door is not considered a "Wooden" door latch! :)
