Does anyone have any recommendations for DIY Spray foam kits to insulate the floor under my Cabin? Thanks Pete

I thought of it but decided for a three season cabin it was too pricey with too much potential mess for a newbie user.

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

I've looked into tigerfoam quite a bit too.

I plan to insulate the bottom of the metal roof in the fall.  It's just too darn hot right now to be up there climbing around in the trusses.   Yesterday when it was 95 outside it was 105 inside the house shell.

I'm toying around with the idea of using 2 lb foam for a thin layer to water seal the roof, and then backfill the rest of the way with 0.5 lb foam.

Great blog Tony, I'm writing one also for family and  friends but definitly not as good as yours....

I'll be watching for your experience with spray foam insulation.  They have a good article in the July 2009 issue of Fine Homebuilding about spray foam.  I USED to have a subscription to avoid the high cost of 'news stand price', (but not any more), but because of this article I spent the 8 bucks..  The article is actually short enough that you could read and get the just of it at the store.  He quotes architect Betsy Pettit (whom I believe is with Building Science Corp) about insulating a basement.  My opinion is anyone who quotes a Building Science partner, in my book, has done their homework well....

Here's another diy foam co. Versa-Foam Systems [url]http://www.rhhfoamsystems.com/index.php/url].  They advertised in this FH mag.  They are out of WI, don't see any prices.     Maybe we can get someone to reply that has used the diy foam.
