None of us are as smart as all of us.

Life, as it does, has got in the way of progress but finally, we've got a few things done. We're also a week in to living in it now and it's great. Weird and exciting to live in the project that you've spent so much time and energy on. Passive solar heating is working great too; it's 15 degrees warmer than the main house and we haven't had to use the electric heater

So, put up 1" foam sheathing

Then put up fiber cement siding

Also planted the green roof with some carex grasses and sowed CA wildflower seeds. Not sure if the wildflowers will thrive in such shallow soil but we'll see.

the back wall of the house looks very close to the property line/adjacent building.  How did you get the siding on?  The next time we get out west, it'd be great to see in person.  You're doing a quite fine job, thanks for the updates and totals.
just spent a few days building a website, and didn't know that it could be so physically taxing to sit and do nothing all day!
