I guess good old English will be just fine for this position

I've been reading that one for several days now, Windpower.  Of course it's only a conspiracy theory. Right? hmm

Not -- it  checks out.

KBR built the camps as we have brought up before per a $385 million contract if I recall correctly.

Dissidents - can we start a list to help the cause?

Sassy

Just read about that the other night at work - was surprised that they were actually advertising on the Goarmy website.  Of course, it wasn't blocked because it is a Federal job offering...  getting pretty blatant, isn't it?   :P

And not to mention, the Pentagon now classify protests and protestors as "low level terrorist/terrorism"

Don't believe it? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,526972,00.html

In a way I can see how protesting could be called a form of terrorism. It is an extreme view to call it that but it makes sense. On the other hand free speach should not be confused with protesting. If I voice my views in a calm manner such as normal speaking the fact that those views may disagree with those in power should not make my speach into protesting. We have reached a point in this country though where the simple act of having an opposing view is now being somehow considered (and called in some cases) illegal or dangerous by those in power.

Think of the things activism and protests have yielded in the past...

Fair wages, working standards, women's right to vote, end of segregation, etc, etc, etc.

Now days, most people are too lazy to really do anything to get their voice heard. Without protests and activism, causes will just be overseen. Too many people just fill out online petitions and send prefab emails to state representatives and government officials and think that doing that alone makes some sort of difference.

Its not like someone is sitting in Washington going, "Hey, come and take a look at this! Everyone, this is crazy! Come here, quick! Some petition online has over 500,000 e-signatures! Five hundred THOUSAND!  They want small amounts of Marijuana to be decriminalized... Well, lets get to drafting a bill right now. I am going to cancel my meetings today and tomorrow and pull an all nighter." ... While a quite obviously sarcastic example, I think the point was made. No one really takes those things serious. People need to speak out and actually do some form of protest or things will never change, and people who don't know much about whatever cause is being protested against will never learn about it.

Not to mention alll those prefab bulk emails these people get I am willing to bet goes straight to a spam folder so they can have it not fill up their inbox.

I think its in Portland, but the city has actually devised sections of the city that is "No Protest zones" where it is illegal to protest. I'm sure there are other cities like this too, but I remember seeing a video about that a while ago.
