Interesting methods.  I like the natural built shelter.  I don't know how well it would do with predators, but it would be easy to find any middle of the day eggs that would be laid in a free range yard.  What I know of that is simply from observing others. The chickens I raised never got to the egg laying stage.  [hungry]
