That's a fake picture, no doubt, but it was not released by the White House. No pictures have been released.
It's amazing the lengths some people will go to to deny this President his props. This was a very well conceived and executed plan. And he deserves appropriate credit - as do all the people working under his command.
I can tell you dozens of things I think this President has done wrong. But if we are to be intellectually honest, give then man credit when credit is due.

A perfect example of the sour grapes I'm talking about. You're bending over backwards to not give the President
any credit. This was an operation that has been planned from the very top since at least August of 2010.
And I did give credit to the soldiers involved.
If this operation had failed, then the President would have been held completely responsible for it's failure. He deserves appropriate credit for it's success - as do the soldiers and intelligence people involved.

The one thing I know about myself is that I am very promilitary. I do not agree with these "wars" or "wars that are not called wars" but I never ever want to return to the time in history where our military members where treated so harshly and blamed for the wars our government sent them to fight. I may not agree with government but I will always support and give credit to our military members.

It shows that there was never an intention to take him alive, which I had suspected. It would have been a legal and political nightmare. I generally believe official stories are not accurate, but not far off. The best lies are filled with bits of truth.
The presstv article I generally distrust. It is the Iranian government owned propaganda. Osama was a symbolic figure head for resistance to the U.S. throughout many parts of the world, which plays heavily into Iranian Government interests. As long as people want to believe he is alive, he will be to them. Remember Elvis and Michael Jackson are still alive if you ask people that believed in them.
What I find interesting is the backlash at the Pakistani Government. First they tried to falsely take credit. Then there was a giant backlash for letting the U.S. come in and kill him. Everyone seems to have known where he was for a long time.

On the way home tonight my covert ops buddy caught up with me - I pass his place. He said the same thing I have been saying and I haven't seen him until today to talk about it. He said he was called by another of his insider buddies a week earlier and told the announcement would be made. He didn't tell anyone as it was too crazy.. He said lots of the military guys know OBL has been dead since about 2001. He said it is a real joke to them.
He was watching as the first ticker came over the TV saying it was done by Seals about a week earlier, then he watched as "Buckwheat" (his term) came on and said he ordered the hit a few hours earlier. Apparently the situation room scene was just a staged photo-op. He said the "Official Story" is a mish-mash of pretty impossible combinations.
He agrees it is a fake scene to win over approval for another term as he can see no other good reason for it at this time.
He also said that Navy seals could not carry enough ammo for a 20 minute firefight, nor would they need to. He mentioned that the official story has changed seventeen times since it was first presented.
Funny how as things are enlarged on more details do not come out.... more things re removed in this case.
But then - what does he know?-- he just spent the best part of his life pulling similar capers for the boss he now refuses to work for any more. Many of us here know he's been there and done that.
