Title: builders of eco-friendly homes
Post by: Abilene on March 22, 2015, 12:16:22 PM
Hello all!  I just joined this forum today.  My question to members is this:  Anyone know of reputable builders who specialize in earth-sheltered houses or straw-bale partially submerged houses?  There are very few builders to my knowledge who have this expertise, but I need to locate several for estimates in the near future.  Thanks for any help in advance!

You will want to find local or close by builders with this experience. Ask at builder supply stores and alternative Eco groups. In many areas there are not as many such houses being built as 25 years ago.

It would probably help to know where you are located.  By your user name, Texas?   New Mexico has quite a  bit of this, mainly based in the Northern part of the state - Santa Fe - Espanola - Taos.   Google straw bale home santa fe should return some builders.
