Title: Tired Makita batteries
Post by: Chuckca on October 11, 2005, 09:15:29 PM
Any suggestions for my tired Makita cordless drill batteries (1-12v & 2 9.6v)...they're 10 + yrs old....they don't hold a charge....hate to toss them....and....hate to spend the $$$$ for new ones....I count every nickel three times and spend it once.....:)

Replacing them cost more than a new cordlesss.  Can they be  reconditioneded or is there a company that sells reconditioned batteries.

Thanks

My deWalts all have a toll-free number for recycling theirs.  But I've only had mine for five years.

Might now have a number now for the Makitas.

Which doesn't help you get new ones for less.

That I know of, anyway.  I may have one bad one now.
