It was a bit hard to find specs on but I did.

To start with, I haven't had problems with CH tools.

From the below specs this appears to be a compressor that will last a long time and have power to do the bigger chores also.  Cast iron cyl with oil lube should last a very long time.  This one rated at 5000 hours - oiless about 2000 or less as I remember.

5.8 at 90 psi will do some pretty good sized air tools including an impact wrench  - great for installing lag screws in wood if you don't over do it. Should do fair to good with a texture gun. :)

· Heavy duty cast iron, oil lubricated, twin cylinder pump.
· High air flow (SCFM) to power a wide variety of air tools.
· Product life up to 5000 hours.
Quietest operation compared to most air compressors.
· Durable and safe 26 gallon ASME coed tank for abundant air storage.
· Horse Power: 5
· Voltage/Amps: 120-240 volts
· CFM @ 40 PSI: 6.6
· CFM @ 90/100/175 PSI: 5.8 @ 90 PSI
· Tank Size: 26 Gallons
· Tank Style: Horizontal/Portable
· Maximum Pressure: 135
· Number of Cylinders: 2

Looks like a good find, Daddymem - I like it. :)

It's such a good deal, makes me want to get it!  Where do you find all these sales?  Way back when I got out of highschool I worked for the new Sears store in town - & where do you think they put me?  In the tool department.  I guess I always liked to spend time in my dad's workshop & pound nails, sharpened my thumbnail on the grinding wheel one time... didn't make that mistake again  :-/ - smashed it, couldn't suck my thumb anymore  :'( - I was pretty young then  ::); made a couple treehouses with my friends... I guess that was all in preparation for what we're doing now...   :-?

How can you tell if a compressor set up can run two (or more) framing guns at once?  I noticed that some of the Husky models in Home Depot stated two framing guns could be run off them at once.

It is all based on the CFM.  As long as it is a realtively high number (6.0 CFM @ 90 psi) is relatively high, you can run two guns off of them.  Obviously, if they are going full blast, non stop, the compressor may have to catch up, but you can only put nails in so fast.  If you are looking for a compressor to build a cabin and you are not using it for a professional framing crew, there will plenty of "downtime" with this comprssor to catch up and refill with air.

The large reservoir on this one will help with the two guns too.  As John_M stated it may play a little catch up but the reservoir is there for short periods of heavy use.  I doubt that 2 nail guns will bother this compressor much.

This compressor is not only similar in output to the small high output models, but it is built to last much longer.  It is not too much less portable than the small ones.  Add more hose if necessary.
