Just wanted to see how all our Alaskans are faring with the earthquake?

We pretty much slept through it....which is a little alarming since the beach is like 2 blocks away....lol. My sister's family lives in the evacuation zone in town, they had to get up and bug out to higher ground about 2 am....

I believe they recorded about a 0.4' rise on the outer coast...we will rebuild  :D.....honestly it's just part of life here...the tsunami warning sirens sound a test regularly, kids in school drill for mega-quakes....sooner or later we'll get a bad one.

One of my buddies lives on Kodiak Island 138 Miles NE of the quake.
He slept though it too!!!

I think they had about a foot high wave.
Haven't heard of any damage from it.

woke me up and then gently rocked me back to sleep.

Now I feel a little silly. Our news in TN had it as one of their leading stories.  ???
Glad to hear it wasn't a big deal.

Sometimes it is no big deal and sometimes it is nowhere to hide :o
