Jan. 6, 1912 — President William Howard Taft signs Proclamation 1175 admitting New Mexico to the union. The state has a population of about 330,000. Bernalillo is the largest county, just ahead of San Miguel.

So much changed over the past 100 years. New Mexico, the state, is famously where the atom bomb was developed and detonated. New Mexico, the state, is where so many soldiers marched away to World War II and service in Bataan or on Normandy Beach. New Mexico, the state, is where hippies came to find their altered states, looking for a new way of living.

I thought I'd toss this out today in case I forget on Friday.  ;D

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Hey Don
Pretty much describes Oregon (1859) but we just stored chemical warfare stuff.......no bomb testing (on purpose).....
I'm enjoying all that I own, the moment.
