Looking for some info on DIY dock building or links. Getting close to closing on some lake property, and want to put in a dock before starting home. Anyone have experience setting 4x4 or 6x6 posts in water? Drive in vs. jet in the post? Seems to be several methods for both. I'll try and post a sketch of what we are planning later today.

just an fyi - depending where you are there can be strict regulations regarding installing docks and shoreline conservation. worth double checking ahead of time.
Yes the corp is pretty strict. I have met the criteria for a dock, just trying to figure out if I can do it myself. Seems where i live (southwest georgia), most builders jet in posts.
