Hello all, I have been looking for a "post and pier" guide for dummies, can anyone give me a good link?

w* to the forum.  There are so many things of need and interest here that the stickies kind of overwhelm us, but a good search usually brings it up or another member will assist in finding it.

Hi Glenn and thanks. My uncle and myself are going to build a new camp (24x24) over the next few weeks, or months :) . I think we are going with this idea , http://coyotecottage.com/cabin/cabinconstruction/foundation.htm ,only we will dig the holes five or six feet deep. I am sure I will be back a few times  looking for advise, thanks again.

Glad you reposted the Coyote Cabin material.  I'm currently preparing to get onto the deck (just finished the foam insulation...still shaking foam particles out of my jacket) and was thinking about doing the crushed gravel post pier foundation as opposed to the monstrous big foot footers etc.  Good luck on your cabin, and make sure that you post up pictures of your progress!
