1 1/2 story garage attached to 1 story ranch

Any design ideas for attaching a 1 1/2 story garage to a small single-story ranch? Every design I see would dwarf my existing 6/12 pitch ranch...

Possibly an enclosed walkway between them to get it a bit away from the house.   :-?

Being taller, It doesn't have a lot of choice. :-/
