Title: This is how it's supposed to work
Post by: peternap on July 11, 2009, 08:51:50 PM
After seeing a no guns sign at Fuddruckers, I wrote this story:

It caused a big stir and the company started getting emails, letters and phone calls. Within a couple of days the sign came down and I wrote this story:

Well, the pro gun community was grateful that they saw the light so we decided to have our monthly open carry dinner at Fuddruckers this month. This dinner has never had more than 40 people but this month...

Confirmed
74 and an additional  24 possible....and still counting.

This is the power of pro gun money. Hopefully other groups in other states will take notice and work together. ;D

A Safe Dinner at Fuddruckers

After we wrote a story about Fuddruckers Richmond, posting a no guns sign, gunowners protested. Management saw that the No Guns sign was not the way to reduce crime. In fact, it only made it more vulnerable. The sign was removed.

People who take their personal safety seriousely, responded by staging a dinner at the restaurent. Quite honestly, I was delighted. I have fond memories of taking my young children there. My children are grown now and both married. I'm a grandfather, but my two kids joined us for the dinner at Fuddruckers one more time.

110 people came together to enjoy the food, each others company and say thank you to Tom Riggins, the manager. All adults were wearing firearms.

The latest tally was that over $1,200.00 was spent in the first 2 hours we were there.

Hopefully, others will learn from this. We are Virginia. We support those that support us.

Thank you Tom!
