I have been taking care of some miscellaneous items on my **todo** lists for both the Truss and Wall plugin before I dive back down the rabbit hole that is currently the Floor plugin.  Once I jump back into that one I may not emerge again for a couple months so I thought it best that I take care of a few requests first.

- Added metal plates for all attic trusses.
- Added an attic furring option for attic trusses.
- Fixed a minor bug in the gable cut option for attic trusses.

- Enabled wood grain texture for the following truss types: attic, symmetric cathedral, cathedral, cambered, tail bearing, coffer, tray, and parallel chord.

Hi Paul.  I'm very happy to hear that the engineered foundation is still solid.  Your present solid rock base is quite the change.

Did you get settled in Spain before Brexit?

Many changes here as well. Our cabin property was involved in a wildfire 3 years ago last month. Most of the trees on our 3 acres were burned or toasted dead. The cabin was not touched, but the gazebo to the west and 2 outbuildings to the east were incinerated. Fire hot enough to melt the aluminum chiminea fireplace in the gazebo. 100's of surrounding acres of national forest turned into black sticks.

All the walls could probably be 2x4's. How much snow load would the roof need to be built to hold?

Is the floor insulated underneath? The walls? The ceiling or roof?

What are the sources of air borne moisture? Showers? Cooking? and so on.

Hello,
I built a tiny home (16'x12') on pier blocks, raising it about 12 inches off the ground. It's framed with studs, joists, pressure-treated cross boards, and plywood. I painted and caulked the exterior, and it has a window AC unit and two windows, but no plumbing inside. While it's been a good house, I face a problem with condensation on the walls and floor during winter. We use an electric oil heater, and I suspect it's a ventilation issue. The floor consists of two sheets of OSB (3/4"), a vapor barrier, and snap flooring. I've confirmed there are no leaks from the roof or walls.

I'm looking for solutions beyond a dehumidifier for winter. I'm considering capping the exterior gap since it's on pier blocks, which might help retain heat, but I worry about air stagnation underneath. I can't keep anything on the floor without it developing moisture. Any suggestions?

I am constructing a tiny cabin measuring 8' x 12', built on skids and resting on concrete piers over a gravel foundation. It will feature a shed-style roof and a front porch.

The tallest wall reaches 11.5 feet, and I'm considering whether to use 2x6 lumber for the framing. I initially planned to use 2x4 for the rest of the structure, but I'm uncertain about the taller wall's ability to support the shed roof.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

At the behest of some users who use this plugin for large agricultural buildings, I will be adding at couple more options for large trusses. Specifically a "Quad Howe" and a "Penta Howe" common truss option. The "Penta Howe" truss is suitable for trusses that measure up to 100' in span (or greater). I had a little fun with this:

The barn I show with the tractor has a 92' span truss with a 36" raised heel. Top and bottom chords are 2x8 with 2x6 webs. The trusses are double ply (3" width) and spaced at 4' on center.
After I modeled this, I thought, what could a guy do with a garage like this? Okay, realistically I don't need an aircraft hanger for a garage, but 36'x36' sure would be nice.
