Title: ? about plans

Do you have any plans for a 20' wide by 24' cabin. 1 1/2 story or 2 story. I plan on building an addition to our camp with a hallway or and enclosed breezeway with a hipped roof over to the new addition. Kind of like the Victoria and Enchilada Cottage Compound or the Expanded Cabin Project in the gallery section of this site. Thanks Pete

Not sure when John will get to this but I bet you could shorten the 2 story farm house.  First link on this page:

Yes, the simple way to build the configuration you are interested in would be to modify a plan such as the Universal cottage (http://www.countryplans.com/20wide2s.html)(20x34 two story) or the 1.5 story (http://www.jshow.com/y2k/listings/50.html)(20x30) as the core house.

Either of these houses could have additions added to build up to a cottage compound over time.

Thanks alot. So I can just order the 20x30 1 1/2 story plan and shorten the length by 6 feet. The 20x30 cabin would be an addition to a 20x30 1 story camp that is already built. Thanks for the info. Pete

That will work - you will find John's plans to be very reasonable (hate to say cheap) and high quality -easy to understand.  Add forum support and plan support and it's a great deal -- as you can see we have lots of volunteer members who will help with general questions.
