Title: Buried pressure tank?
Post by: John_M on April 09, 2010, 11:59:24 AM
We are preparing to have a well and septic systems installed at our property this spring.

I share the property with my uncle.  I have a cabin and he has a mobile home.  We are trying to share the well/pressure tank.  One of the guys we had look at our property recommended we use a buried pressure tank and then have a T that comes off and supplies water to both of our structures.  We can turn the water on or off at our structures separately.  The idea here is that if we open one of the structures in the winter, we really don't bother the other.

Does anyone have issues or thoughts on this system or a buried pressure tank in general?  We were told when we shut the pump off, all of the water will drain out and back into the well, hence no issues while we are not there.

I don't see a problem with it. Might want to paint it real good so it doesn't rust.
