Thanks - welcome to the forum.  We have the new fire code things to deal with here and building has pretty well stopped.

4 permits for Jan to May I think.

Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah, with the new codes, I really need to add a whole section to the website about the new fire codes.

Hey, I went to high school in Tuolumne County in the early 80's.  Summerville to be exact. Been up that way long?

I have only been in Mariposa for about 7 years, but in CA since 71 near Fresno (the armpit of the world) at  Kerman.  I have traveled the mountains a lot and flown extensively over much of this part of the Sierra's keeping a truck in Bridgeport and exploring the East side form there.

Whitlock has been up here most of his life I think and has been in Tuolumne Co. quite a bit.

One of my first tastes of construction work druing high school came from working with my oldest friend's dad, a contractor up there at the time.  His name is Lowell Young and he has been there in Mariposa for a long time now.  Ran for board of supervisors a while back I believe.  Owns a mini-storage business.  Heard of him?

Also, you might have heard of the guy that burned up in a little camper he was living in up some isolated road up there last year?  Brother of one of my closest friends here.  Sad story.  He actually worked for me briefly many years ago here.

Anyway, small world here on the internet.

Haven't heard of him but may will look out for him.  Still amazing how things get together here and the great new friends we make over the net.
