I ordered lumber from a yard for the first time.  It was a pretty small order-just sub floor stuff:
10 8ft 2x6 #2 SYP - = $37
2 12ft 2x6 #2 SYP - = $8
3 4x8 3/4" T&G OSB - = $24

When it was delivered - I noticed there was still bark on the 2x6's - something I was not expecting.

Is this something I should be concerned about using for sub-floor joists?

You are talking about just a corner here and there?

A bit of it won't hurt much but you don't normally see a lot.

Most have it in the sides/corner - there is one piece that has it on the 6" side covering half the board.

It must have passed grade inspection.  Sounds like it will be OK

3 4x8 3/4" T&G OSB - = $24

That's an interesting price on the 3/4" T&G OSB.  ( $8.00 per sheet )

That's what the 7/16 - thin stuff costs around here.

Hhhmm - I know 1/2" OSB at the local HD was running about $4.50.

HD NewMexico Lowe's the same
7/16 OSB  $6.49
23/32 (3/4) T&G OSB $13.75

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

For me OSB means On Someone elses Building.  ;D

Youngins,
That sounds like an excellent price for 3/4".  You may want to consider the Advantech OSB products.  They perform very well if there is going to be some time before everything gets closed in from the weather.  I used the 3/4" T&G Advantech OSB for my floors and 1/2" for sidewall and roof sheathing.  Exposed to weather (including rain) for two - three months without ANY problems.
