Title: Paint-on EDPM under ceramic tile--outdoors
Post by: CREATIVE1 on September 18, 2006, 05:47:06 PM
I have gotten some preliminary information that the paint-on EDPM which does degrade with exposure to direct sunlight may be of use under ceramic tile. (I can get is cheap) I have a covered deck with very solid plywood flooring.  Am hearing that we should work small areas, put down two layers of the EDPM, bed the (porcelain) tile in the top layer with edges tightly butting, and as a final finish push silicone into the gaps between the tiles.

Any opinions?

Other than....

I think there is some fine not only for roofs but roofs that are used to harvest rainwater paint on stuff, if you wanted not to add the tile.

Can't find a link right now, but they advertise in Fine Homebuilding.
