Grand daughter selected by conference as 1st team allstar 1st basemen

PORTLAND – Portland State had seven players selected to the 2008 All-Pacific Coast Softball Conference team, including two first team selections, in senior right-hander Mandy Hill and junior first baseman Jana Rae Slayton, as the PCSC announced its all-conference team Monday. Hill also earned second team accolades as a utility player.
Slayton, from Mt. Vernon, Wash., turned in the best year of her three-year career in 2008. She led Portland State with a .341 batting average, and tied for the team high in home runs, five, and RBI, 32. Slayton also led the Vikings with a .480 slugging percentage and a .400 on-base average. In the field, Slayton recorded a .995 fielding percentage, committing two errors in 428 chances.

Baseball , well fast pitch softball , although there's nothing soft about the ball or the way they play, Glenn no bats in basketball ::)
Watch a game when the Olympic get going or maybe some of the college world series , it's good game. Fast , lots of action.

BTW the gal pitching from LMU Loyola U. is a three time piching allstar from the same conference , we beat her every game this year when she pitched but she must have had a better record against other teams . She had lots of movement and was fast but Portland State and Jana Rae seem to hit her pitch's well , or well enought to win anyway.
