I worked on building the loft railing wall this weekend, also leak tested my pex.
I had a valve leaking, so i plugged it, it held 70 psi so I can cover it up once i get the rest of the wood!

I'm hoping to tackle the kitchen cabinets as well and have been keeping a close eye on the Ana White plans as they come out.  She usually simplifies things and makes it much less intimidating!  Looking forward to seeing how you do yours astidham!

What are you planning to use on the T&G poly or stain ???

astidham

I started the kitchen cabinets this weekend.
I used 3/4 AC for the carcass and 3/4 Austrian cypress for the frames.
the Austrian cypress is engineered hardwood that was left over from  a room I installed it in.

Great start on the cabinets.  I find that the doors are the biggest chore.  Noticed you have a Hitachi compressor.  Any problems with it.  A little heavier than most portables I have had.

Thanks,
The Hitachi compressor has been a great compressor, as long as you don't have to move it ..

I started a cabinet door panel yesterday.
this is the first time i have really ever used a router.
I bought a Bosch router and table and ordered a Freud raised panel bit set.
the wood for the doors I'm using  is black walnut that was harvested from my buddy's back yard, milled and kiln dried.

I love black walnut.  Are you planning using some type of oil finish?  The oil gives the walnut a nice rich finish.
