Being that my hired engineer spent two months and did not complete his primary purpose

designing a foundation for my house - HOA requirement !

I'm now probably missing my building window in CO - so I need to turn to plan B

I have purchased already a 26ft trailer which I was planning to use this summer to stay in while we build but its not an artic version ..

So comments and input requested for the following little idea

Behind the house I was planning an open deck area at ground level-

being that I really wanted to be skiing this winter and staying on the property - this deck has now a roof in my head

16 ft x 24 wide deck with a 8-12 roof too match the house

so I basicly have 8ft spaces between the supports

I was thinking of having this roofed deck- a winter / summer building with an open fireplace in the middle- air supplied from a pipe underneath the firepit

ie having doors or removable insulated panels in the 8ft bay's

summer open and cool- winter closed and usable- with the trailer parked at the side - ie trailer to sleep and cook and the "pagoda" as the heated living space.

I liked the idea of halving the width and having sliding doors-like a barn - but I have not found a decent seal too use

The other option is some big doors opening out 5" thick -with 2"doubled foam insulation,

What are your thoughts !
