Interesting... it seems like there was a lawsuit by several citizens in Fresno a few years ago - a lot of homes were built along the high tension lines, IIRC, there was an increase of leukemia, don't remember how it all turned out.
Here's an interesting link that talks about HAARP in Alaska & other facilities around the world that use electromagnetic energy. HAARP is still supposedly "experimental" - they're experimenting on changing the weather by superheating the ionosphere with microwaves (the HAARP facility has a billion watts last time I checked).
