I'm having some trouble with posts disappearing tonight.

Updated my kitchen cabinet post and when I went back 10 minutes later my response was gone. Thankfully it was still in the clipboard so I just pasted it and reposted.

In the mean time I was updating my build thread and now I see that update is gone too (matter of minutes).

Might not just be me either. Adirondoc posted a question on vapor barriers to which I responded. A few minutes later the whole post was gone. Maybe he just deleted it though.

Alan I think there must be something amiss with the "General Forum" portion of the board.  When I clicked on the usual link to go to your post about vapor barrier it returns me to this post.

Anyway to answer your question yes you can use 6mil plastic.  But you should not have two barriers sandwiched.  So if the craft paper will not meet then remove it and use the plastic.  Use "grace tape" or other tape intended to seal the joints and cover any penetrations.

Hmmm.  I looked at the forum admin system and, while I don't know it very well, it doesnt appear that anything was auto- nor manually removed/rejected.

Can you guys link to the thread(s) in question?

I'm not sure but Texas Tornado posted on our topic and later it was gone - I thought she may have removed it before I got back to reply.

...but just now checked and it is back this morning and is dated last night......  hmm

This is the first one I noticed it on. My response last night was after the first one disappeared:

And I posted an update to this post which never showed up. I suppose it's also possible I screwed up, but highly unlikely :)

The other thread I noticed, one started by AdironDoc last night, disappeared all together. There is another similar thread going on in the forum though so maybe he deleted his after he saw it.

Texas Tornado

Nope I did not delete it and also noticed missing posts...

Thanks, TT.  Just re-checked and it is back dated last night.

Sassy told  me to have a look at it and when we went back to look it was gone - both of us checked.

Glad it returned and thanks for posting it --- it keeps me from talking to myself so much too.  :)    [crz]

I ran a backup on the forum and then did some maintenance on errors found (repaired).

See if this helps.

Yup - saved some of it at the very least.

So I am not going crazy....... [waiting]
